Alexander Nouri is still being supported despite being on the brink of relegation

Werder Bremen is struggling in the German League, Bundesliga as they are just barely above the relegation zone and have successively managed to drop points.

Starting from December 17 of 2016 until February 5 of 2017, the German club has faced off with 6 opponents in the German League and during those matches Werder Bremen only managed to collect 2 points out of the possible 15.

Even though Werder Bremen has been dropping points at such a quick pace, the head coach Alexander Nouri is being backed up by the head executives of the German club as the Sporting Director Frank Baumann said:

‘’We re convinced that we can get through this with Alex. There were no discussions and meetings with other coaches. I don’t want to throw anyone out but we are in a very difficult situation. We’re going to be looking closely at who we want to work with again in the following season.”

Alexander Nouri is under intense pressure as the Iranian manager went from being the interim coach to turning into a permanent tactician but after this recent string of losses and draws, there are fans out there that are starting to question if whether or not Nouri is indeed capable to taking charge the club.

With the latest results of Werder Bremen, the 37 year old coach Alexander Nouri has been slightly relieved from the waves of pressure that has been emerging as they were able to collect successive triumphs over Mainz 05 and Wolfsburg which has played a huge role in Werder Bremen being able to stay just barely above the relegation and Nouri is hoping that his squad can continue adding more points on a consistent basis.
