Germany Manager Calls up SuleFor Schweinsteiger Testimonial

Germany manager Joachim Loew has decided to call up Hoffenheim defender NiklasSule as one of the newcomers to the national team.


The German national team will be involved in a testimonial for Bastian Schweinsteiger. The former Bayern Munich midfielder recently announced his retirement from international football. A 24 man squad has been selected for the testimonial and the inclusion of this 20-year-old youngster is likely to be one of several coming in the upcoming months.Loew will have to build the team in several areas of the pitch due to the retirement of key players after the Euro 2016.

Lucas Podolski and Bastian Schweinsteiger are two of the high profile players to announce the retirement after the conclusion of this Euro 2016. Just after the World Cup 2014, striker Miroslav Klose announced his exit from the national team scene. Despite boasting some of the finest quality of youngsters in world football, Germany struggled to replicate the success at the World Cup. They were ultimately beaten in the semifinals by Portugal. However, focus quickly shifts to the World Cup qualifiers as Germany hope to retain the trophy that they won in Brazil. The first of the World Cup 2018 qualifiers will see Germany take on Norway just days after the friendly against Finland.
