WERDER BREMEN INTERESTED IN ARSENAL ACE

Werder Bremen are reportedly interested in loaning Arsenal youngster Reis Nelson, according to reports. Nelson enjoyed a nice spell at fellow German side Hoffeinham last season but has failed to get chances at the Emirates this season. The departure of Alex Iwobi was thought to be the chance for Nelson to shine but it has been far from that.

The likes of Saka and Joe Willock have been preferred by manager Unai Emery and this could mean another loan for the England youngster. It is understood that several clubs have indicated their interest with Werder Bremen, Hoffenheim and some Championship clubs.

Nelson is regarded as a pacy winger with the ability to beat opposing defenders and with an eye for goal. He has featured extensively in the Europa League for Arsenal and has made a few cameo appearances for the Gunners.

It is always a difficult transition for a young forward to a top club like Arsenal and the arrival of Nicolas Pepe has certainly not helped matters. The first choice front three is Pepe, Lacazette, and Aubameyang.

The trio are older more proven than Nelson and hence the reluctance of Emery to start the youngster ahead of them.

Nelson is said to be open to a move to Germany as he feels that he was able to develop his game last season. It would be interesting to see whether he opts for Hoffenham or whether he goes to Werder Bremen.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will be looking to continue their good start to the season after the international break. The Gunners despite the criticism from different quarters have been able to accumulate good points so far sitting just 9 points off the summit.

Emery knows that he has to make the Champions League this season and the next couple weeks will be important for the club.
